I hope you have been keeping well and positive during the latest period of restrictions since December. It has been a few months since practicing and I now can’t wait to get back to work!
We have all had varying experiences during lockdown, but one thing in common with them all is having to deal with change – either in a professional or family context. You may be working from home, or having to “home school”, or deal with one of the many losses that has been an integral part of this pandemic. On a positive note, many have taken on an exercise challenge; sales of running shoes are up and Joe Wicks has become a household name. Whatever your personal situation, we have all had to adapt both physically and mentally and this often takes its toll on the body.
Massage therapy and myofascial release can help unlock tension and ease musculoskeletal pain. I have missed this hands-on role but have been learning in other ways. I recently attended a webinar (by the NLSSM) about identifying red flags associated with lower back pain. I also took part in a Health Education Seminar about how to regain proprioception in a frozen shoulder.
Reopening
I am keen to put this new knowledge into practice and hope to resume giving treatments on April 12th. I am looking forward to supporting your health and fitness needs, whether they be daily aches and pains or in preparation for summer sporting events.
I am now taking bookings! Contact me to arrange an appointment.
